Day
01 You will be met
and picked up at the Tuogart Pass. Then you should have take a
big bus to go down the main Chinese customs. Then reach at your
first camp site in the late afternoon.
Day 02 After
your first breakfast in China, you may ride to move southwards
Kashgar. Check in your hotel. The distance today for your biking
is only 60 kilometers. The road is good but somewhere used to
washed by flood. It takes you about 2 or 3 hours to get Kashgar
by biking.
Day
03 It must be Sunday
today. As you know, people will spend all day in the famous Sunday-market.
Sunday is bazaar day in Kashgar, site of perhaps the largest and
longest running bazaar in Central Asia. As many as 100,000 people
come in from surrounding areas to buy and sell animals and goods.
Early in the morning you can see streams of people in donkey carts
coming in to market. There are separate areas for animals, furniture,
fabric, clothing, shish kebobs, shaves with a straight razor (including
scalp), fruits and vegetables, and much more. In the animal bazaar
care needs to be exhibited as horses and donkeys are being "test-driven".
Also in the animal bazaar you can find cattle, sheep, goats, and
camels - all in a fairly small, walled-in area. When you are in
the midst of all this, you may feel like you have stepped back
in time several hundred years. After breakfast you will be free
to roam the bazaar or to go along with a guide who will translate
Uighur for you. Stay in your Hotel
Day
04 A bus tour day
today. You may leave for Aksu, another biggest cities in this
south part of Xinjiang. The distance today is about 500 kilometers
and it takes 7 hours to get there. Find your hotel and check in
Day 05 Another
half a day bus tour again until arrive at the Kizil Museum, which
is one of the four biggest Buddha caves in China. After your quick
picnic lunch in this museum garden, start your sightseeing, visit
these excellent Wall Paintings about the Culture of the Buddhism
. Then start your biking again eastwards to Kuche town. Check
in your hotel. The distance between the Kizil Buddha Museum and
Kuche is about 80 kilometers. The road is good, highway but not
busy traffic.
Day 06
In the early morning, you may bike to the Subash
ancient temple sites to do your exploring. The sun rising here
ins specially good looking. So please do not miss the sun rising
here. Then you may get on your bus again and climb over these
beautiful mountains until you arrive at Bayinbluk pasture land.
Check in your yurts hotel.
Day 07 Your
real biking climbing starts today. The distance of 110 kilometers
today will take you at least 8 hours. You may camp on the way
to Lardon, a small village. Your Chinese staff will be in front
of you and set up your camp ready when you arrive.
Day 08 Keep
your climbing by biking. The altitude is getting higher. And your
climbing is getting more difficult. But anyway, you may try to
arrive at Alatubai for camp. Of course your Chinese staff will
get everything ready before your arrival. The distance today is
about 70 kilometer. The road is quite good. But I am sure you
may prefer to take a trail just near by the main road.
Day 09 Keep
your climbing after a good and big breakfast as you have uaully.
The distance for this day may be anther 70 kilometers. Your camp
site for today is beyond Tiemlik. The road situation is same.
Day 10 This
is you¡¯re the fourth biking day. I am sure some of you may be
getting tired. But you should have to keep your climbing for another
75 kilometers. And arrive at Xiao Heishan, where is your camp
site.
Day 11 This
is a rest day.
Day 12 After
a good rest, you may continue your biking climbing until you arrive
at the biggest city in the north part of Xinjiang. The distance
today is about 100 kilometers. Check in your hotel.
Day 13 A
tour day in this town.
Day 14 This
is your last day to bike in China. It takes you 3 hours to get
the Huogos Pass on the border of China and Kazakstan. Exit China,
all the services in the Chinese part end, and enter into Kazakstan.
