 En
route, you are met and picked up at the Tuogart Pass on the border
of China and Kirghizstan, and then further driving by your motor
bikes to Kashgar. Sunday is bazaar day in Kashgar, site of perhaps
the largest and longest running bazaar in Central Asia. As many
as 100,000 people come in from surrounding areas to buy and sell
animals and goods. Early in the morning you can see streams of
people in donkey carts coming in to market. There are separate
areas for animals, furniture, fabric, clothing, shish kebobs,
shaves with a straight razor (including scalp), fruits and vegetables,
and much more. In the animal bazaar care needs to be exhibited
as horses and donkeys are being testdriven". Also in the
animal bazaar you can find cattle, sheep, goats, and camels -
all in a fairly small, walled-in area. When you are in the midst
of all this, you may feel like you have stepped back in time several
hundred years. After your visiting in Kashgar, you will drive
for Kuche. As soon as you arrive at Kuche, you should have to
seize the moment to do your last preparation before your trip
to Tian Shan. Then when you get everything ready, just start your
climbing by your motor bikes towards the North. The road you will
take is a quite good military highway. Spending days by your motor
cycling on this hidden highway in deep area of this west part
of Tian Shan, you suddenly find you already arrive at the famous
Bayin Bluk pastureland. Landscape in this area is quite different
comparing with the one in the Pamir Plateaus: everything here
is green and fresh, blue lake which surrounded by green forests
and various big and small birds, lies on the grass land quietly
¡ When you  say
Good Bye to the local Kazak people who live in this area, you
start your climb again, sometimes you appear on the top of hills,
like a bird, flying between these white cloud covered peaks, sometimes
you suddenly ¡°fall¡± down deeply to the bottom of valleys and disappeared,
like diving, then you suddenly appear somewhere in this white,
clean sea of clouds ¡ days late, you are closer to towns and traffic
on your road is getting busy. Then one day late, you get Yining
city, one of the biggest cities in the north part of Xinjiang.
After relaxing in this town, you should have to continue your
cycling and move until you arrive at the Huogos Pass on the border
of China and Kazakstan. Now it is time to say Good Bye to your
Chinese agent and exit China. All the services end. The whole
distance from the Tuogart Pass to the Huogos Pass via Tian Shan
mountains is about 2000 kilo-meters. The road condition is mostly
good highway, but there are many trails on the hills by the main
roads. I am sure you will get more exciting and funs if you take
these trails when you are riding by your motor bikes !
Itinerary
Day 01 You will be met and picked up
at the Tuogart Pass. Then you may have to cycling another  hundred
kilometers on this sand road until arrive at the main Chinese
customs. Then after the normal check-ing, you will have to keep
your cycling for 60 more kilometers until you arrive at Kashgar.
Check in your hotel. The distance in China today is 180 kilometers
Day 02 Relaxing
day and a tour day.
Day 03 Start your cycling again and move to Aksu
on the ancient Silk Road. Camp somewhere out of this city. Distance
today is 500 kilometers on a good high-way
Day 04 Keep you
cycling and approach to the famous Kizil Buddha Caves, which is
one of four biggest Buddha caves in China. Stop there for several
hours to do your visiting Then after lunch in a restaurant nearby
this Buddha Cave Museum, you should have to turn to the north
and reach at the main road No.217 to Tian Shan mountains. Stop
somewhere for camp. The distance in this day is about 320 kilometers.
The altitude is getting higher, about 3000 meters above sea level
at your camp
Day 05 Start your
climbing in a beautiful valley until you arrive at Bayin Bluk,,
the beautiful pasture land. Camp for night. The distance for today
is about 200 kilometer.
Day 06 a relaxing
and tour day
Day 07 Continue your climbing in this green and
splendid mountains, keep your cycling to move closer to Yining.
Camp for night
Day 08 a easy
day today. It will take you only 3 hours to finish the left distance
in this Tian Shan part and enter into Yining. Check in your hotel.
A city tour in the afternoon with your local guide
Day 09 This
is your last day cycle in China. Start to move to the Huogos Pass
on the border of China and Kazakstan. And finally arrive at the
end of the trip in the Chinese part. When you say Good Bye to
your Chinese staff, you may exit China and continue your journey
in Kazakstan.
