Locate
at 83.01¡ãE and 36. 20¡ãN, in the North area of the main ranges
of Kun Lun Mountains, Mt.Uzatagh, not very high peak, is
covered by snow for all season. It is located in the south,
only 50 kilometers towards the Yeyik village. The glacier
at the foot of Mt Uzatagh looks as if something man-carved:some
looks like huge high crystal buildings, some looks like
great palace, some looks like beautiful glass Kingdom what
you only can expected in your dream. And there are more
than tens of wilder animals in this virgin area. I am sure
you will have many chances on your way to see a lot of wilder
animals: Tibetan Antelope, Asiatic wild ass, wild ox and
wild yarks, snow leopard, lynx, Asiatic black bears, white
fox, red fox, Maco Polo Sheep, wolf, etc. Mt Uzatagh is
still one of only a few virgin peaks left in the world.
That is because this peak has just be opened to the outside
world in the last year. So we have not enough information
how this peak looks like. We are expecting you to go there
to make some First-Hand information for all the world. There
are also four other virgin peaks over 6000 meters between
Mt Muz Tag (in the west are to Mt Uzatagh) and Mt Uzatagh.
En
route, you will have many choices to enter into China. Because
of the political situation in the recent years, the safty
and easy way is: enter into China from the Tuogart Pass
on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan via Bishkek, then
drive further down to Kashgar. After short staying in Kashgar,
leave for Khotan via main towns of Yarkand and Kaglik, which
used to be main station on the ancient Silk Road and Marco
Polo Route. As you know, Khotan, located in the south edge
of Taklamakan desert, was one of the most important towns
where Sven-Hedin and Stein worked. The fabric studio has
been still kept in the old family style. A lot of ancient
sites and ruins are surrounded this old town, for instance,
Rawak, Mailikwat, Shumpla, Dan Dan Wulik, Karaton, etc.
Well, after one day sightseeing in Khotan, you should have
to keep your journey by bus toward east until arriving at
Menfeng, where used to be Niya. After your breakfast in
your hotel in Niya, you should have to switch your bus into
jeeps and start your real adventures towards the South.
In the late afternoon, you finally arrive at the last village
on your way to Mt Uzatagh (6250), where is named Yeyik village.
This is the place where we prepare animals for carrying
your climbing equipment and food for using when you do your
climb. Then you hwill have to find a good place, starting
your camping life in the mountain. My experiences let me
know that it takes at least one whole day to get all the
animals ready even we will have made the reservation in
advance. So, why not to take this opportunity to do some
visiting in this small mountain village ? Then when everything
will have been done by a long negotiation with the local
chief man, you will start your trekking on next day. It
takes you 5 days to reach at the glacier, another 15 days
for exploring up to the summit. Then it takes you 6 more
days further towards west and take an other valley to go
back to Yeyik village. After saying ¡°Good Bye¡± to your animal
drivers, you may leave for the mail road. Then you will
switch these jeeps into a bus as soon as you meet the state
road 315 and keep your journey towards north and enter into
the famous Taklamakan Desert. It is a great pity if you
miss one camping night in the middle of this biggest desert
because this is a beautiful desert, in where you should
not miss your enjoyable time to see these golden color sand
mountains and dunes, a clean
and beautiful sky in a quiet dark night ¡ Then from the
next day on, you will meet the state road 312 and keep your
moving until your arrival of Urumqi, the capital of China
Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. After your last sightseeing
to the Heavenly Lake, you will take your flight XO711 to
fly to Almaty to catch up your flight home. I am sure my
partner, ITMC Tien Shan, one of the best and biggest travel
agency in Kyrgizstan will take a good care of you when you
arrive at Almaty. Here is the communication ways of ITMC

Itinerary
Day 01 The Torugart Pass (at 3752 metres)
is the climax of the most exciting overland route into (or
out of) Central Asia. This is a cold and uncomfortable border
crossing, which has traditionally been plagued by uncertainties
and by greedy officials. It is usual to have to negotiate
as many as 10 passport controls, before entering China -
not for the faint hearted! The Kirghizstan side has been
designated a special nature reserve as it is one of only
a few places where the Himalayan Black Cranes still thrive.
You drive up to the 3752 meter-high pass, where you will
meet your Chinese support team and your vehicles for the
drive down into China. Five kilometer below the pass is
the first Chinese check-post and it is further 100 kilometer
o the main customs station. The climate changes abruptly
as you descend into China, becoming much more arid - we
are close to the margin of theTaklimakan Desert. The landscape
is truly remarkable. You adjust your watches to Beijing
time and continue on a good paved road to Kashgar. You check
into a hotel in the centre of Kashgar. The distance from
the border to Kashgar is about 200 kilometers, a part of
sand road.
Day
02. Free day in Kashgar. The old city, once known
as Kashi, is an exotic Central Asian trading oasis unrivalled
anywhere in the Chinese and Soviet Empires. Despite its
situation between the awesome physical barriers of the Tien
Shen, Pamir and Karakoram Mountain ranges, this town was
the meeting point of at least four of the main Silk Road
arteries. Over the years, the collision of cultures between
the Pakistani's, Kirghiz, Soviet and Chinese has helped
Kashgar to flourish. Even today, a stroll around one of
Kashgar's numerous bazaars will take you back in time, as
you mix with the throngs of traders and their livestock.
Muslim Uighurs, who account for 90 percent of Kashgar's
population, are the dominant ethnic group that you will
encounter in Kashgar's thriving town centre. At the same
time, the Chinese continue their efforts to change Kashgar
into a modern town with an airport, ring road and numerous
bars and nightclubs. To spend a day in Kashgar is a not
only a delight but a wonderful insight into the color ful
way of life of the peoples of Central Asia. Altitude at
